So now that we’ve dropped a podcast outlining what cryptocurrency is, we’re going to take a look at how you can get it. There are dozens of websites and apps out there that enable you to purchase and use any of the many cryptocurrencies. The site and app I am currently using is Coinbase.
Coinbase is neat for several reasons, but mainly because it is easy for an idiot like me to figure out. First, it incorporates an up-to-date tracker of three cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. It shows both short-term and longer-term trends which helps me decide if it’s a good time to buy or not. Second, this site easily links to a credit or debit card and a bank account. This makes it relatively simply to purchase cryptocurrency. With a built in wallet, you are then able to store your cryptocurrency right there on the site.
Anyway, if you’re interested in learning about cryptocurrency by doing, check out Coinbase. If you’d like to learn more, there are books that can help you.
